Topic: My pets

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson students will be able to use structures, “I have got a pet”, “He/She has got a…” in speaking, to tell each other about the pets and their colours, to sing a song about pets, to understand presentations at a pet show.

Objective: to introduce and practice new structure, to review colours, to practice the structure at the previous lesson.

Materials: PowerPoint presentation, Pupil’s book, Activity book, white sheets of paper, rulers, pencils of different colours.

Plan

Warm up

Start the lesson with greeting. Say “Hello”.

Slide 2. Sing the song.

Pre-activity

Slide 3. Ask children “How are you?”, after students ask one by one their classmates.

Slide 4-5. Phonetic exercise.

Slide 6. Work with chant.

Main activity

Slide 7. Work with picture. What colours of cars.

Slide 8. Work with book.

Slide 9. Sing the song.

Slide 10. Students name the animals.

Slide 11. Work with book. Students draw a pet they’d like to have.

Slide 12. Students present their pictures.

Slide 13. Physical exercise.

Practice

Slide 14-16. Presentation structures “I have got a …”, “He/She has got a …”

Slide 17. Have a talk. Students tell about what animal their partner would like to have.
