Objectives:

  • to speak about ingredients of different dishes;
  • to improve listening skills through doing tasks;
  • to have practice in writing instant message;
  • to develop students’ listening and writing skills;
  • to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about cooking

Warm-up:

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Main activity:

Slide 6-7. Work with Student’s Book. VOCABULARY Ingredients; make and do Match the words in the box to photos A-H below. Listen and check. Then repeat (ex.1, p.111)

Slide 8-9. Work with Student’s Book. Now, write them in the table under the correct headings. Add more words you know to each column (ex.2, p.111)

Slide 10-11. Work with Student’s Book. Check the meaning of these words in a dictionary. Can you find pictures of food cooked like this on the web page on page 110? (ex.3, p.111)
