Objectives:

• to revise the nationalities of the world;
• to introduce the new vocabulary;
• to read a text about the population of Australia;
• to name the countries and their nationalities;
• to match the flags with the nationalities;
• to develop the students’ reading, speaking and writing skills;
• to enlarge students’ knowledge about Australia;
• to promote positive attitude through studying the language.

Outcomes: by the end of the lesson, the students will be able to use the vocabulary in speech, to name the countries and their nationalities, to retell about the population of Australia.

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Slide 5. Work with Student’s Book. Look at the picture and try to name all the nationalities you can see in it. (ex.1, p.203)
