Objectives:

• to answer the questions;
• to introduce the new vocabulary;
• to read a text about the cities of Australia;
• to fill in the map of Australia;
• to do a project, presenting the favourite city of Australia;
• to develop the students’ reading, speaking and writing skills;
• to enlarge students’ knowledge about Australia;
• to promote positive attitude through studying the language.

Outcomes: by the end of the lesson, the students will be able to use the vocabulary in speech, to retell about the cities of Australia.

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 5. Warm-up. Answer the questions.

Main activity:

Slide 6. Work with Student’s Book. Read the text and name the main cities of Australia and complete the table. (ex.1, p.200)
