Objectives:

• to speak about football;
• to improve reading skills through doing tasks;
• to do a project for making a presentation about history of some kind of sport;
• to develop students’ reading and speaking skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about sport

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Football Brainstorm.

Main activity:

Slide 6-8. Work with Student’s Book. A) Look at the pictures. Do you know anything about these sports? Then listen and check your answers (ex.1, p.100)

Slide 9-10. Work with Student’s Book. B) Read again and write T for True or F for False (ex.2, p.101)

Slide 11. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Practice:

       Slide 12-14. Work with Student’s Book. C) Read again and answer the questions  (ex.3, p.101)

      Slide 15-16. Work with Student’s Book. PROJECT  Give a presentation!(p.101)

      Slide 17. Sport Detective.
