Objectives:

  • to revise the plot of the story “Robinson Crusoe For Children”, written by James Balwin;
  • to talk about the things, which are going to be done, being on a deserted island;
  • to interview a modern Robinson Crusoe;
  • to write the things that can help a person to survive on the deserted island;
  • to develop students’ writing and speaking skills;
  • to provide a welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: by the end of the lesson, the students will be able to retell the plot of the story “Robinson Crusoe” written by J. Balwin, to tell about the things that can help a person to survive on the deserted island.

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.
