Objectives:

  • to introduce the new vocabulary;
  • to read a story “The Canterville Ghost”, written by Oscar Wilde;
  • to say if the sentences are true or false;
  • to read and translate the old prophecy;
  • to develop the students’ reading, speaking and writing skills;
  • to provide a stable atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: by the end of the lesson, the students will be able to use the vocabulary in speech, to retell the plot of the story.

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:
