Objectives:

• to introduce the new vocabulary (geographical names);
• to read an article about the UK;
• to introduce and practise the rules of usage of the articles ‘the’ with the geographical names;
• to revise the tenses;
• to develop students’ reading, speaking and writing skills;
• to train students’ grammar skills;
• to form reliable attitude to studying.

Outcomes: by the end of the lesson, the students will be able to say the geographical names, to use the article ‘the’ with them, to tell about the UK.

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.
