Objectives:

• to have practice in using prepositions in the context correctly;
• to develop students’ writing and reading skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about sleeping

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 5. Quick Brainstorm.

Main activity:

Slide 6-7. Work with Student’s Book. WARM-UP  Discuss  (ex.1, p.82)

Slide 8-12. Work with Student’s Book. READ   A) Read the interview and match the questions a-e with the answers 1-5. Then listen and check your answers (ex.2, p.82)

Slide 13-15. Work with Student’s Book. READ   B) Read again and answer the questions (ex.2, p.83)

Slide 16-17. Work with Student’s Book. READ  C) Look at the phrases/expressions 1-5 from the text and match them with the meanings a-e (ex.2, p.83)

Slide 18. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Practice:

       Slide 19-20. Work in Workbook. A) Complete the sentences with the prepositions  (ex.1, p.72)

       Slide 21-22. Work in Workbook. B) Complete the sentences with the words in the box  (ex.2, p.72)
