Topic: Listening to Music. It’s time for reading. In the School Orchestra.

Objectives:

  • to revise the plot of the story of Lensey Namioka;
  • to discuss the story;
  • to talk about the orchestra;
  • to develop students’ writing and speaking skills;
  • to provide a welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: by the end of the lesson, the students will be able to retell the plot of the story “In the School Orchestra” written by L. Namioka, to talk about an orchestra they’re signed up to play in.

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.
