Objectives:

  • to read the poem “Electric Guitars”, written by James Carter;
  • to work in pairs, asking and answering the questions;
  • to listen to the dialogue and complete it;
  • to talk about music lessons in the British and Ukrainian schools;
  • to revise the tenses;
  • to develop students’ listening, reading, speaking and writing skills;
  • to motivate the students to work in pairs;

Outcomes: by the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about music lessons in the British and Ukrainian schools, to use the tenses correctly.

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.
