Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about past, to use the connectors in oral and written speech.

Objectives: to introduce and practise the grammatical material (Past Simple Tense, the connectors – ‘and’, ‘so’, ‘but’, ‘because’), to read a dialogue, to say true or false, to make up the sentences using the connectors.

Structures of the lesson: “I looked into the water, but I didn’t see the fish.”, “We went to a lake and we had a picnic there.”, “I went swimming because the water was warm.”, “We were hungry, so we went to a restaurant.”

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Pupil’s Book, Activity Book.
