Objectives:

• to introduce and practise the new vocabulary;
• to make up the sentences with the new words;
• to arrange the words into the right column;
• to name the odd word in each line explaining why;
• to match the titles of the books to the genres;
• to enlarge students’ vocabulary;
• to develop the students’ speaking skills;
• to encourage understanding and tolerance to others.

Outcomes: by the end of the lesson, the students will be able to name the genres of books.

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:
