Objectives:

  • to introduce the new vocabulary;
  • to read a dialogue;
  • to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of being educated at home;
  • to do a class survey, find out the classmates who are supporters of home education and opponents of it;
  • to listen to the dialogue and act it out;
  • to develop the students’ reading and speaking skills;
  • to provide a welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: by the end of the lesson, the students will be able to express their own opinion about the home education, to mention the advantages and disadvantages of being educated at home, to do a survey.

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:
