Objectives:

• to read the text, filling in the gaps;
• to read the extract from the book “Matilda” by Roald Dahl;
• to complete the sentences;
• to revise the tenses;
• to develop the students’ reading skills;
• to improve students’ grammar skills;
• to provide a welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: by the end of the lesson, the students will be able to tell about Matilda’s school life, to put the verbs into the correct tense forms.
