Objectives:

• to improve listening skill through listen about Emma’s and Ned’s friend’s and doing tasks;
• to fill in the profile about your best friend and present it in the class;
• to develop students’ listening and writing skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about friends

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 5. Friendship Word Association.

Main activity:

Slide 6-7. Work with Student’s Book. Read the sentences below. Then listen to Emma and choose the correct answer (ex.1, p.49)

Slide 8-10. Work with Student’s Book. Look at the pictures and complete the sentences. Listen and check (ex.2, p.49)

Slide 11-12. Work with Student’s Book. Look and talk about Eve. Then listen and check. Is there anything else Emma says about Eve? (ex.3, p.50)

Slide 13-14. Work with Student’s Book. a) Listen to Emma’s interview and

say what Mike would like to be (ex.4, p.50)

Slide 15-16. Work with Student’s Book. b) Read the questions and put them in order (ex.4, p.50)
