Objectives:

  • to speak about possession and using them correctly;
  • to have practice in pronunciation of weak forms: a and of;
  • to tell in pairs about three things that are special and belong to different people in your family;
  • to develop students’ writing and speaking skills;
  • to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about learning

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

 

Plan

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Whose is it?.

Main activity:

Slide 6-7. Work with Student’s Book. GRAMMAR Possession Look at the pictures. Match sentences 1 and 2 to picture A and B (ex.1, p.37)

Slide 8-9. Work with Student’s Book. Look at the sentences 1 and 2 in Ex.1. Which sentence has ‘s and which sentences has ‘s? Why? (ex.2, p.37)

Slide 10-11. Work with Student’s Book. Complete the sentences. Use the word in brackets in the singular or plural and ‘s or s’ ( ex.3, p.37)

Slide 12-13. Work with Student’s Book. Look at the words in red in the two examples from the listening. Find the determiners and circle the pronouns. Then complete the table ( ex.4, p.37)

Slide 14-15. Work with Student’s Book. Look at the pictures and decide who the football player is. Match sentences 1 and 2 to pictures A and B ( ex.5, p.37)
