Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about learning

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Plan

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. School Memory Flashback.

Main activity:

Slide 6-8. Work with Student’s Book. LISTENING Listen to the What’s New section on a morning radio show. A boy called Ethan is talking about experience of schooling. What phrases does Ethan use for the education he had on the trip? (ex.1, p.35)

Slide 9-10. Work with Student’s Book. Listen again. Are the sentences right ( ) or wrong ( )? (ex.2, p.35)

Slide 11-12. Work with Student’s Book. In pairs, discuss the questions ( ex.3, p.35)

Slide 13-14. Work with Student’s Book. In pairs use the questions to describe your perfect school. Then tell the rest of the class about it. Take turns in your group to speak ( ex.1, p.35)

Slide 15. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Practice:

Slide 16-18. Work in Workbook. LISTENING Listen to three people talking about school and learning. Write Mrs. Black, Lorna or Ben (ex.1, p.23)
