• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about homes

Main activity:

Slide 7-8. Work with Student’s Book. VOCABULARY AND READING Homes Match the words in the box to A-K in the picture. Listen and check. Then repeat (ex.1, p.24)

Slide 9. Work with Student’s Book. Describe your home to your partner using words from Ex. 1 (ex.2, p.24)

Slide 10-11. Work with Student’s Book. Read the article about Paula and Gary’s homes and look at the photos. Which photo, A or B, shows where Paula and Gary live now? (ex.3, p.24)

Slide 12-14. Work with Student’s Book. Read the text again. Answer the questions ( ex.4, p.25)

Slide 15-16. Work with Student’s Book. PRONUNCIATION /i:/ and /ɪ/ Listen to the two words. Which has an /i:/ and which has an sound /ɪ/ sound? (ex.5, p.25)
