Topic: That’s me! Fashion and Clothes

Objectives:

  • to learn using Present Simple or Present Progressive;
  • to discuss about your clothes ;
  • to have practice in using the adverbs of frequency;
  • to develop students’ writing and listening skills;
  • to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about clothes

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Grammar.

Main activity:

Slide 6-8. Work with Student’s Book. GRAMMAR Complete with the Present Simple or the Present Progressive of the words in brackets ( ex.3, p.13)

Slide 9-10. Work with Student’s Book. GRAMMAR Put the words in the correct order to make sentences (ex.3, p.13)

Slide 11-13. Work with Student’s Book. LISTEN Listen to a TV programme and find the mistakes in the fashion models’ clothes (ex.4, p.13)

Slide 14-15. Work with Student’s Book. SPEAK A) Discuss in pairs or small groups (ex.5, p.13)

Slide 16. Work with Student’s Book. SPEAK B) Use the ideas from activity 5A to write a paragraph about your clothes (ex.5, p.13)
