Objectives:

• to learn vocabulary related to geographical features and using them in the context ;
• to have practice in pronunciation sounds of letters th ;

• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about nature

Warm-up:

Main activity:

Slide 6-8. Work with Student’s Book. VOCABULARY AND READING Geographical features In pairs, discuss the questions. Then read the article and check your ideas (ex.1, p.14)

Slide 9-10. Work with Student’s Book. Read the article again and choose the best heading for each paragraph (ex.2, p.14)

Slide 11-13. Work with Student’s Book. Match the words in red in the article to the photos A-I. Listen and check (ex.3, p.14)

Slide 14-15. Work with Student’s Book. Complete each sentences with the correct word from Ex.3. Write five sentences of your own using these words (ex.4, p.14)

Slide 16-17. Mystery Feature Riddles.

Slide 18-19. Work with Student’s Book. PRONUNCIATION th:/θ/ and /ð/ Listen to the sounds θ and ð and repeat them. Then put the words in the box into the correct column (ex.5, p.14)
