Objectives:

• to have practice saying the letters of the alphabet;
• to improve in reading the contact details;
• to develop listening skills;
• to ask and answer questions about personal information;
• to develop students’ writing and reading skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about personal information

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Main activity:

Slide 6-7. Work with Student’s Book. PRONUNCIATION The alphabet Practice saying the letters of the alphabet (ex.3, p.13)

Slide 8-9. Work with Student’s Book. Decide which letter has a different sound in each group. Listen and check (ex.4, p.13)

Slide 10-11. Work with Student’s Book. In pairs, ask and answer questions. Use the contact details for Sam and Jo (ex.5, p.13)

Slide 12-13. Work with Student’s Book. LISTENING Listen to the conversation. What are Grace and Daniel talking about? Who is Finn? (ex.1, p.13)

Slide 14-15. Work with Student’s Book. Listen again. Complete the table with the activities the friends choose (ex.2, p.13)
