Objectives:

  • to speak about things in the classroom;
  • to have practice in using verb to be;
  • to answer the question using structure Is there or Are there;
  • to develop students’ writing and speaking skills;
  • to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about things in the classroom

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

 

Plan

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Vocabulary Brainstorm .

Main activity:

Slide 6-7. Work with Student’s Book. VOCABULARY Match words in the box to the letters A-P in the photo (ex.1, p.10)

Slide 8-9. Work with Student’s Book. GRAMMAR Verb to be (ex.1, p.10)

Slide 10-11. Work with Student’s Book. What color is each things? Write five sentences. In pairs, ask and answer the questions (ex.1, p.10)

Slide 12-13. Work with Student’s Book. Look at the photo and read the sentences. Write yes or no (ex.2, p.10)

Slide 14-15. Work with Student’s Book. Look at the photo and listen to the questions. Complete the table with a tick ( ) for the right answers (ex.3, p.10)

Slide 16. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Slide 17.  Describe and Draw .
