Outcomes: at the end of the lesson students will be able to say what they can do, to make up a dialogue, to read the words with the letter Uu (sound [Ʌ])

Objective: to introduce and practise the question “Can you …?” and answers “Yes, I can”/“No, I can’t”, to read the words with the sound [Ʌ] (letter Uu) and sentences having the words with sound [æ] and sound [Ʌ].

Materials: PowerPoint presentation, Pupil’s Book, Activity Book.
