Objectives:

• to learn about reflexive pronouns and using them in the context correctly;
• to have practice in making conversation using reflexive pronouns;
• to develop students’ writing and speaking skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about actions

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Mirror Game.

Main activity:

Slide 6-7. Work with Student’s Book. GRAMMAR  Reflexive pronouns  Look at the examples. Complete the Grammar box with reflexive pronouns : himself, yourselves, herself, ourselves (ex.1, p.99)

Slide 8-9. Work with Student’s Book. Look at two more examples from Ben’s blog and match sentences 1 and 2 to meanings a and b (ex.2, p.99)

Slide 10-12. Work with Student’s Book. Complete the sentences with the correct reflexive pronouns  (ex.3, p.99)

Slide 13-15. Work with Student’s Book. Read the conversation and answer the questions  (ex.4, p.99)

Slide 16-17. Work with Student’s Book. In pairs, write your own conversations. Use the conversation in Ex. 4 and the sentences from the box to help you. Practise your conversations (ex.5, p.99)

Slide 18. Gymnastic for the eyes.
