Objectives:

  • to learn rules about using present simple or continuous ;
  • to do a mime activity ;
  • to review food vocabulary;
  • to develop students’ speaking and writing skills;
  • to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about daily routine

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Guess the Activity.

Main activity:

Slide 6-8. Work with Student’s Book. GRAMMAR Look at the examples from the listening. Write simple or continuous. Complete the rules with the underlined words (ex.1, p.15)

Slide 9-11. Work with Student’s Book. Complete the sentences with the correct tense of the verbs in brackets (ex.2, p.15)

Slide 12. Present Simple and Present Continuous.

Slide 13. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Slide 14-16. Work with Student’s Book. Correct the mistakes in the sentences (ex.3, p.15)

Slide 17-18. Work with Student’s Book. Make sentences with the present simple and present continuous. Use usually and today or at the moment (ex.4, p.15)

Slide 19-21. Work with Student’s Book. Put the words in order to make questions. Then match the questions to the correct answer. In pairs, ask and answer the questions (ex.5, p.15)
