Objectives:

  • to learn Module 1 “That’s me!” with topic about school;
  • to will repeat the school subjects;
  • to read about unusual school and do tasks about text;
  • to develop students’ speaking and reading skills;
  • to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about school

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

 

Plan

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Discuss.

Main activity:

Slide 6-8. Work with Student’s Book. Where can you find the following in this module? Go through the module and find the pictures ( p.7)

Slide 9-11. Work with Student’s Book. VOCABULARY Listen and repeat the school subjects below. Then look at the pictures and decide where you do each of the subjects (ex.1, p.8)

Slide 12. Comic Strip Creation.

Slide 13-16. Work with Student’s Book. A) Look at the pictures and the title of the text. How do you think Mellway is different from other schools? Listen, read and check your answers (ex.2, p.8)

Slide 17. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Slide 18-20. Work with Student’s Book. Read again and answer the questions (ex.2, p.9)

Practice:

 Slide 21-22. Work with Student’s Book. A) Find seven subjects in the grid. Then write them under the correct picture (ex.1, p.8)

Slide 23-24. Work with Student’s Book. B) Complete the sentences with the words in the box (ex.1, p.8) .

Slide 25. Design a New Classroom .
