Objectives:

  • to review material from Units 17-20 through doing different tasks;
  • to develop students’ writing and listening skills;
  • to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to review material from Units 17-20

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Main activity:

Slide 5-6. Work with Student’s Book. VOCABULARY Write a word to link each group of words. Complete the words for them (ex.1, p.118)

Slide 7-8. Work with Student’s Book. Put the words in order to make questions. Then complete the answers with adverbs ( ex.2, p.118)

Slide 9-10. Work with Student’s Book. Complete the sentences with the words in the box ( ex.3, p.118)

Slide 11-12. Work with Student’s Book. GRAMMAR Read the rules about entering the talent show. Complete Emma’s email to Lauren with the words and phrases in the box ( ex.1, p.118)

Slide 13. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Practice:

Slide 14-16. Work with Student’s Book. GRAMMAR Choose the correct words to complete the sentences 1-3 and correct the mistakes in the sentences 4-6 ( ex.2, p.119)

Slide 17-19. Work with Student’s Book. LISTENING Listen to a boy called Owen talking about a picture of his family. Listen and write the correct letter beside each name. Which person is Owen? (ex.1,p.119)
