Topic: UKRAINE. The Sign of the Zodiac.

Objectives:

• to introduce the names of the zodiac signs;
• to read the information about the signs of the zodiac;
• to play a game, guessing the signs of the zodiac;
• to find some more information about own sign and present it to the class;
• to do a project, describing the signs of the zodiac for the members of your family;
• to develop the students’ reading, speaking and writing skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: by the end of the lesson, the students will be able to name the signs of the zodiac, to describe the characteristic of each zodiac sign, to do a project of the signs of the zodiac of their own family.

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.
