Objectives:

• to read a dialogue;
• to read and discuss a joke;
• to discuss the common and different things of the climatic zones;
• to do a project (making a guidebook);
• to develop thinking and creative imagination;
• to develop the students’ reading, speaking and writing skills;
• to encourage understanding and tolerance to others.

Outcomes: by the end of the lesson, the students will be able to say the common and different things of the climatic zones of Ukraine, to make a guidebook.

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Main activity:

Slide 5. Work with Student’s Book. Listen, act out the dialogue and discuss in class if it is really worth visiting our Motherland. Give your reasons. (ex.6, p.186)
