Objectives:

• to read a biography of O. Henry;
• to complete the sentences, using the correct form of the verbs;
• to answer the questions;
• to do a class survey;
• to broaden students’ knowledge about an American writers;
• to develop the students’ reading, speaking and writing skills;
• to encourage understanding and tolerance to other people.

Outcomes: by the end of the lesson, the students will be able to tell some fact about life of O. Henry, to tell about their favourite writer.

Warm-up:
