Objectives:

• to speak about music ;
• to have practice in identifying different genres of music;
• to listen to the interview with a rock band and do some tasks ;
• to develop students’ creativity and listening and writing skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to speak about music

Main activity:

Slide 6-7. Work with Student’s Book. Listen to the six pieces of music and identify each type (ex.1,p.149)

Slide 8-10. Work with Student’s Book . Listen to the interview with a rock band The Rats about their concert tonight. Then complete the sentences below ( ex.2, p.149)

Slide 11-12. Work with Student’s Book. a) Listen again and answer the question (ex.3,p.149)

Slide 13 Gymnastic for the eyes.

Slide 14-15. Work with Student’s Book. b) Complete the sentences (ex.3,p.149)

Practice:
