Objectives:

• to do a crossword, revising the learnt vocabulary;
• to complete the table of education in Ukraine;
• to develop the students’ reading, speaking and writing skills;
• to encourage understanding and tolerance to others.

Outcomes: by the end of the lesson, the students will be able to use the learnt vocabulary in speech, to retell about the system of education in Ukraine.

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Warm up. Put the right prepositions. Match.

Main activity:

Slide 6. Work with Student’s Book. Do a crossword. (ex.19, p.122)

Slide 7-8. Do a crossword.

Slide 9. Complete the table.

Practice:

Slide 10. Work in Workbook. Each of the sentences below is either true or false. Put “T” if the sentence is correct. Put “F” if it is false, find the mistake and correct it. Then with coloured pencils lightly shade only the numbers of the correct sentences and you’ll get a result of your knowledge. (ex.16, p.57)
