Objectives:

• to speak about reading books;
• to have practice in describing book that you read;
• to complete sentences with prepositions;
• to develop students’ creativity and speaking and writing skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to speak reading as a hobby

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Plan

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. The Joy of Reading.

Main activity:

Slide 6-7. Work with Student’s Book. a) Work in pairs. Ask your partner about the latest book he/she has read. Ask him/her the questions below (ex.9,p.134)

Slide 8. Work with Student’s Book . b) Report back to the class on the book your friend has read ( ex.9, p.134)

Slide 9-11. Work with Student’s Book . Work in groups. Speak about reading books. Make use of the questions ( ex.10, p.134)

 Slide 12. Guess a book .

Slide 13. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Practice:

Slide 14-15. Work in Working Book. Complete the following sentences with the prepositions from the box (ex.14, p.59)
