Objectives:

• to read the pupils’ letters from different schools in Kyiv,
• to discuss what all these schools have in common;
• to write a letter to the English pen friend;
• to develop the students’ reading, speaking and writing skills;
• to provide a welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: by the end of the lesson, the students will be able to retell about the schools in Kyiv, to write a letter to a pen friend.

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.
