Objectives:

• to speak about how to be a good reader;
• to improve our listening skills;
• to have practice in unscramble the words to make sentences
• to develop students’ creativity and listening and writing skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to speak about how to be a good reader

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Word Association.

Main activity:

Slide 6-9. Work with Student’s Book. Read the sentences below carefully. Then listen to the girl and choose the correct word (ex.1,p.125)

Slide 10-111. Work with Student’s Book . a) Listen to the boy and read what he says ( ex.2, p.126)

Slide 12-13. Work with Student’s Book . b) In your notebook write the word(s) from below and those that follow them in the previous text ( ex.2, p.127)

Slide 14. Book Spine Poetry .

Slide 15. Gymnastic for the eyes.

 Slide 16-17. Work with Student’s Book. Sort the books the boy mentions into two groups. Add some more books to the list ( ex.3, p.127)

Slide 18-20. Work with Student’s Book. Unscramble the words to make sentences. Write them in your notebook ( ex.4, p.127)

Practice:

Slide 21-23. Work in Working Book. Complete the sentences with ALWAYS, OFTEN, USUALLY, SOMETIMES, RARELY or NEVER. Make them true for you (ex.5,p.53)
