Objectives:

• to speak about school of your dreams;
• to have a role-play the situations;
• to make a poster about school of your dreams;
• to develop students’ creativity and speaking and writing skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to speak about role of school in our life

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Plan

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Vocabulary Relay.

Main activity:

Slide 6-8. Work with Student’s Book. a) Read the information about the two schools (ex.6,p.102)

Slide 9-11. Work with Student’s Book . b) Work in a group of three. Role-play the situation ( ex.6, p.103)

Slide 12-13. Work with Student’s Book. Agree or disagree with the reasons why children go to school ( ex.7, p.104)

Slide 14. Creative Writing.

Slide 15. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Slide 16-18. Work with Student’s Book. Work in pairs. Speak on the topic ‘School in My Life’. Then write 12-15 sentences to express your thoughts. Use the following questions ( ex.8, p.104)

Practice:

Slide 19-20. Work with Student’s Book. Make a poster of the school of your dreams ( ex.9, p.105)
