Objectives:

• to learn vocabulary related to entertainment;
• to work with online TV guide and find different types of programmes;
• to develop students’ speaking and writing skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about entertainment

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Plan

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Discuss.

Main activity:

Slide 6-8. Work with Student’s Book. Where can you find the following in this module? Go through the module and find the pictures ( p.41)

Slide 9-10. Work with Student’s Book. VOCABULARY What’s on? Match the pictures with the TV programmes. Then listen and check your answers (ex.1, p.42)

Slide 11-12. Work with Student’s Book. A) Look at the online TV guide below. Find different types of progammes and write their names on the notepad (ex.2, p.42)

Slide 13-14. Work with Student’s Book. B) Read again and answer the questions (ex.2, p.43)

Slide 15. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Practice:

 Slide 16-17. Work in Workbook. A) Match the words to the descriptions (ex.1, p.37)

Slide 18-19. Work in Workbook. B) Complete the sentences with the words in the box. There is one extra word you don’t need to use (ex.1, p.37)
