Objectives:

• to speak about school facilities and activities pupils do there;
• to practice the ability to express one's opinion about the statements;
• to develop students’ creativity and writing and speaking skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to speak about school activities

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Plan

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Wordsearch . Activities at School.

Main activity:

Slide 6-9. Work with Student’s Book. Speak about the facilities you’ve got in your school and talk about the activities pupils do there. Work in groups (ex.4,p.75)

Slide 10-13. Work with Student’s Book . Work in group of five. Role-play the situation. Imagine you are taking foreign pupils around your school ( ex.5, p.75)

Slide 14. Interactive task.

Slide 15. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Slide 16-20. Work with Student’s Book . Read the suggestions made by some boys and girls. Say what each of them suggested, and if you are ‘for’ or ‘against’ these suggestions. Give the reasons for your arguments ( ex.6, p.76)

Slide 21-22. Work with Student’s Book . a) Work in groups. Give your opinion on the following (ex.7, p.77)

Slide 23. Work with Student’s Book . b) Discuss the ways to make your school life more interesting and work out the list of improvements for your school (ex.7, p.77)
