Objectives:

• to introduce and practise the new vocabulary;
• to read a story “The Canterville Ghost” (chapter II), written by Oscar Wilde;
• to say if the sentences are true or false;
• to answer the questions;
• to act out the reminiscences of the Canterville ghost;
• to develop the students’ reading skills;
• to provide a stable atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: by the end of the lesson, the students will be able to use the vocabulary in speech, to retell the plot of the chapter II.

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.
