Objectives:

  • to learn about past simple passive and using it in the context correctly;
  • to have practice in pronunciation of the words which has a different sound;
  • to develop students’ speaking and writing skills;
  • to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about changes

Slide 6-7. Work with Student’s Book. GRAMMAR Past simple passive Look at the example sentences from the article. Choose the correct words to complete the rule (ex.1, p.113)

Slide 8-10. Work with Student’s Book. Find other examples of the past simple passive in Joe’s post. How many examples tell you who did the action? Why isn’t it always necessary to say who did the action? (ex.2, p.113)

Slide 11-12. Work with Student’s Book. Write sentences in the past simple passive about what happened before the day of Joe’s 16th birthday (ex.3, p.113)

Slide 13. Work with Student’s Book. Go to page 140 (ex.4, p.113)
