Objectives:

• to read text about Nelly Bly, the first woman who travelled around the world;
• to write a short newspaper article describing an adventure you have had in a foreign country;
• to improve speaking skills;
• to develop students’ creativity and writing and speaking skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to speak about unusual people

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Main activity:
