Objectives:

• to introduce the rules of using the articles with the geographical names, watching a video;
• to practise the articles with the geographical names;
• to talk about the geographical position of Ukraine;
• to write a letter to the English-speaking friend, telling about the famous landmarks of the native region;
• to develop students’ speaking and writing skills;
• to improve students’ grammar competence;
• to bring up the students’ responsibility.

Outcomes: by the end of the lesson, the students will be able to use the articles with the geographical names, to tell about the geographical position of Ukraine and about the famous landmarks of their native region.

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.
