Objectives:

• to speak about geography and climate of Ukraine;
• to have practice in pronounce the geographical names correctly;
• to make travel brochure about Ukraine;
• to develop students’ creativity and reading and speaking skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to speak about Ukraine

Warm-up:

Main activity:

Slide 6-7. Work with Student’s Book. a) Before reading, try to pronounce the following geographical names correctly ( ex.4, p. 214)

Slide 8-11. Work with Student’s Book. b) Read the text using the map of Ukraine ( ex.4, p. 215)

Slide 12-14. Work with Student’s Book. Complete the sentences ( ex.5, p.216)

Slide 15-17. Work with Student’s Book. Role-play the situation in pairs. You are in one of British schools. The British geography teacher wants his/her pupils to know more about Ukraine. Answer his/her questions (ex.6, p.216)
