Objectives:

• to read a text about the climate of the UK;
• to learn and practise the using the modal verbs (can, may, must, might);
• to talk about the weather;
• to describe the feelings when the weather is bad;
• to develop the students’ reading skills;
• to develop the students’ communicative competence;
• to interest students in learning grammar;
• to encourage understanding and tolerance to others.

Outcomes: by the end of the lesson, the students will be able to retell about the climate of the UK, to use the modal verbs in speech, to describe their feelings when the weather is bad.

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.
