Objectives:

• to speak about doing sports;
• to interview your partner about sport;
• to listen and say the poem;
• to list your favorite things about sport;
• to develop students’ speaking and writing skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about sport

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

 

Plan

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Guessing Game.

Main activity:

Slide 6-8. Work with Student’s Book. Look at the pictures and say where each item is used, as in the example (ex.1, p.103)

Slide 9-10. Work with Student’s Book. Work in pairs. Interview your partner about sport, make notes and then tell the class about him/her (ex.2, p.103)

Slide 11-12. Work with Student’s Book. Listen and say the poem (ex.3, p.103)

Slide 13. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Practice:

Slide 14-15. Work in Workbook. List your favorite things about sport (ex.1, p.80)

Slide 16-17. Work in Workbook. Put Tom’s words into the correct order to make a dialogue. Then act it out in pairs (ex.2, p.80)

Slide 18. Interactive task.
