• to read and guess the sport;
• to develop students’ listening and writing skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about sport

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

 

Plan

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Equipment Brainstorm.

Main activity:

Slide 6-7. Work with Student’s Book. a) Look at the pictures of the sports equipment. Listen and read the words (ex.1, p.101)

Slide 8-9. Work with Student’s Book. b) Say what sports equipment we use in each sport below. Use the words above and add any other sports items that you know (ex.1, p.101)

Slide 10-11. Work with Student’s Book. a) Listen to the talk show where people are trying to guess the name of the sport. Choose the correct boxes (ex.2, p.101)

Slide 12-13. Work with Student’s Book. b) Listen again and put the questions in the order you hear them (ex.2, p.101)

Slide 14. Gymnastic for the eyes.

Practice:

Slide 15-16. Work in Workbook. Look and write the name of the equipment and the name of the sport where it is used (ex.1, p.79)

Slide 17-18. Work in Workbook. Read and guess the sport. Write its name (ex.2, p.79)

Slide 19-20. Work in Workbook. Write 3 points in each line (ex.3, p.79)
