Objectives:

• to speak about different musical tastes;
• to do a mini-research project;
• to write a paragraph about role music in our life;
• to develop students’ creativity and speaking and writing skills;
• to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to speak music

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 5. Interactive task.

Main activity:

 Slide 6-7. Work with Student’s Book. Do a mini-research project in your class (ex.7,p.160)

Slide 8-10. Work with Student’s Book . Read the article below and point out ( ex.8, p.160)

 Slide 11. Gymnastic for the eyes.

 

Slide 12. Chatter Box.

 

 

Practice:

Slide 13-15. Work with Student’s Book . Make up an article ‘Music Stars’ about some facts from private lives of musical talents at your school ( ex.9, p.161)

Slide 16-19. Work with Student’s Book . Read the text, then write a paragraph about the importance of music in your life. Make use of the questions below ( ex.1, p.162)

Slide 20-22. Work with Student’s Book . Write a description of a music event you attend. If necessary, invent your own details. Make use of the ‘Learning Tip’. Divide your description into paragraphs and be sure you answer all the questions ( ex.2, p.163)
