Topic: Life Experiences. Past participles

Objectives:

  • to speak about outdoor activities;
  • to improve reading skills through doing tasks;
  • to learn about past participles and using them in the context correctly;
  • to ask and answer questions about the most exciting thing each of you has done;
  • to develop students’ writing and reading skills;
  • to provide a stable and welcoming atmosphere in the class.

Outcomes: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to talk about activities

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

 

Plan

Warm-up:

Slide 2. Greeting.

Slide 3. Introduction. Aim of the lesson.

Pre-activity:

Slide 4. The icons of the lesson.

Slide 5. Match the Gear.

Main activity:

Slide 6-7. Work with Student’s Book. READING Read the introduction to the quiz. For each question, write the correct answer. Write ONE word for each gap (ex.1, p.78)

Slide 8-9. Work with Student’s Book. Match the questions in the Life Quiz to photos A-L (ex.2, p.78)

Slide 10-11. Work with Student’s Book. Answer the questions in the Life Quiz. In pairs, compare your answers. Are your answers the same or different? ( ex.3, p.78)

Slide 12-13. Work with Student’s Book. VOCABULARY Past participles What is the past simple form of each verb in the box? Now, match each verb to a past participle in the quiz ( ex.1, p.78)

Slide 14-15. Work with Student’s Book. In pairs, take turns to name a photo from the Life Quiz and make a true sentences about it ( ex.2, p.79)

Slide 16. Work with Student’s Book. In groups, ask and answer questions about the most exciting thing each of you has done. Tell the class ( ex.3, p.79)
