Topic: Books and writers. It’s time for reading. The reader of books.

Objectives:

  • to number the events of the story in order;
  • to complete the sentences and a dialogue;
  • to talk about a visit to the library;
  • to write a letter about the last visit to the library;
  • to develop students’ speaking and writing skills.

Outcomes: by the end of the lesson the students will be able to retell the plot of the story “The reader of books”, written by R. Dahl and tell about their last visit to the library.

Materials: Power Point Presentation, Student’s Book, Workbook.

Warm-up:
